It started with a thesis.
In 1999, an undergraduate computer science thesis asked a plain question: could data mining help a small business owner see what their customers were telling them? The thesis was called Data mining in the small enterprise. GetBettr is the answer, twenty-odd years and a great deal of computing later.
Customers know what they want. They keep telling you.
Every business is told, every day, what is broken, what customers would buy, and who they are comparing it to. It is said on the phone, written in email, and mentioned in passing at the counter or on site. Almost none of it is written down, and what is written down is never read together.
GetBettr captures all three channels, files them as one record, and tells you what they add up to. Not one call at a time: the patterns that only show up across thousands of conversations.
GetBettr.ai founder David Pothier explored the idea in his thesis, and as a serial developer, inventor and entrepreneur kept at the work of building technology that helps business owners increase revenue and become more efficient. GetBettr was built and proven inside his own operating companies before it was sold to anyone else.

So we are honest about it. Where the data lives, who can reach it, how long it is kept, and the fact that it is never used to train third-party AI models are written down on the security page, in language you can paste into a questionnaire.
